Our Curriculum

Curriculum Information

At Fulford we offer a curriculum which is balanced and broadly based. It fully meets the requirements set out by the Department for Education.

We ensure our school and curriculum

  • promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils at the school and of society
  • prepares pupils at the school for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life

The national curriculum provides pupils with an introduction to the essential knowledge they need to be educated citizens. It introduces pupils to the best that has been thought and said, and helps engender an appreciation of human creativity and achievement.

You will find below details of our curriculum policies and planning for the current year.

The following show the topics studied by each class during the year. The children will cover these topics to the level and the curriculum depth of their current year. Therefore although we have mixed year groups in each class and different aged children are studying the same topic, the children will be following and embedding to a greater depth, the National Curriculum objectives for their year group only.
