Welcome to Class 2

Hello my name is Mrs Booth and I have had the pleasure of being a teacher for twelve years. I have always worked with the younger children and with mixed aged classes. I believe mixed aged classes allow that wonderful balance of further support for those who need it and a real challenge for pupils who advance quickly! As a teacher I enjoy watching the children become more independent and to see the joy when they learn something new. My main aim in Class 2 is that the children are happy and that they are motivated to learn.

Class 2 is superbly supported by Mrs Tuck, Mrs Norton and Mrs Orme who together work to transition pupils from the foundation stage into the national curriculum.

I am the English co-ordinator and I LOVE books. I am looking forward to inspiring the children to read and developing their imaginations. I will be spending lots of time in the school library with my class and will be encouraging the children in Class 2 to be daily readers.

I will also be leading Healthy Schools and Friendship across the school. As part of this I will be developing an Eco Council. Our Eco Council will try to encourage every pupil in our school to care for our environment. The council will help everyone to do this through giving information and by setting a good example. We want to make the world a better place and encourage pupils to become happy, healthy responsible citizens. We want to make our school a fun place to learn and grow.
